What form of payments do you accept??

We prefer payment by cash or direct payment into our bank account. If you pay by cheque then please provide this 14 days prior to your event. We also accept payment via Paypal / Debit or Credit cards using our payment form in the right side bar (an additional processing charge of 2% will be added to your order).

When do I need to pay??

A £50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking;   The remainder of the balance is due upon delivery of the machine. ( please see payment terms above.)

When do you collect your machine??

We will arrange with you to collect our machine at the end of your event.

Do you clean the machine??

Yes – we just kindly ask that you remove any Pig / Lamb carcass from the machine prior to collection.

Do I need a power supply to operate the machine??

Yes – the motor which turns the Pig / Lamb on the pole inside the machine requires electric therefore please ensure that you position the machine close to a power supply. We supply a Gas Bottle to run the burners that cook the meat.

Is the machine relatively easy to operate??

Yes – a full demonstration will be shown to you upon set-up and user guidelines will also be supplied. We will also be available via the telephone should you encounter any issues during operating the machine.

How big are the Pigs that you supply??

The Pig will be anything between 50-70kg depending on what our butcher can source. We ideally supply the Pig to you with no head as this alone weighs 5kg! The Pig / Lamb will also be supplied already on the pole in the machine.

How long does the Pig / Lamb take to cook??

We recommend cooking the Pig on the highest temperature for the first hour to really get the crackling going. It is normal for the feet to fall off during the cooking process as the Pig shrinks slightly. A Pig takes 5-6 hours to cook; a Lamb a little less time [3-4 hours]. We will supply you with a temperature probe for you to check whether the meat is cooked properly inside.

Do you have recommendations on what we need to supply to accompany our Pig / Lamb Roast??

Someone to carve the Pig / Lamb! We recommend that you have a couple of serving trays to put your sliced pork / lamb and crackling on, as well as serving stuffing and apple sauce / mint sauce with the rolls. Also, baste the Pig at the start of cooking with some fresh lemon juice and salt if you want amazing crackling!

Do you offer a pre-cooking service?

Yes we can supply the pig or lamb to you pre cooked and can deliver to your event at your requested time.

What coverage do you have regarding insurance and food hygiene?

Yes, we are fully covered for public liability and registered with local authority with regard to food and hygiene standards.
